James Week by Week

I've added a new page called "James week by week".  I totally copied my sweet friend, Courtney, and took a picture of James every week in the same chair until the time when he got sick.  I've put the first few weeks up...and I'll add more as I am able to get through pictures!  Sometimes it's hard to look at them for a long time, so be patient with me and eventually they will all get put up!  I hope you enjoy :)

  1. Such a gorgeous, HAPPY baby! I can see so much of you in him Kara. I smile at his cuteness and cry for your loss. I wish I could give you an extra tight hug right now. Its not fair. I will never understand it. He should be in your arms. Im so sorry!

  3. Wow! He is certainly the most precious angel in Heaven! Love his smiling face and that head of hair. I don't know you, but I was one of the very first followers on this blog. I think about your family and James every day, just as I did when I'd read about his daily progress this summer.

  5. Love the pictures! What a happy, beautiful little man! I love that smile. And I love that he is sharing that smile with you. What special, tender moments you have captured.

It amazes me how many of us that never met your son can love him so much. But we do. Thank you for sharing him with us. We continue to ache for you and wish we could do anything to make it better. Praying for your peace.

  6. What a precious idea! Thank you so much for sharing your sweet boy with us. I just love his little expressions, and the hair! I swear James had more hair than any baby I've ever seen.

A coworker of mine and his wife just had a baby. When he brought in pictures I couldn't help but think "James is cuter!" I said it before and I meant it, James is the most beautiful baby I've ever seen!

Thinking about you and praying for you daily.

  8. This isn't related to your post at all, except that this remembrance is owed only to the pictures I've see of James, since I didn't know him. And maybe it will just sound silly...but today as I was cutting my grass, there was a thick spot that grew out in all directions. I saw its particular shape and it reminded me of that wonderful hair Jamesie had. And it served as a reminder of you and to pray for you in the middle of the most mundane of chores. God sees to it that none of you are forgotten and uses the smallest things as reminders to strangers.

  10. I've also followed your blog for ages without posting, in fact I came across it in early July just after I lost my own baby during pregnancy. I tried to post a comment the other day in response to your 'jinxed' post as so many of the feelings you talked about where reflections of my own. You have a wonderful way of expressing feelings from very deep within. But it seems the message got lost in cyberspace and didn't reach you. I think about your family all the time. These photos of James are to be treasured, thank you for sharing. He has the most awesome hair that just speaks for itself and infectious smile. No wonder we are all smitten by this little angel. Thinking of you.

  17. I still remember when I first saw your Week 5 photo back in December. I was so jealous because Emma was a few weeks older than James and still hadn't cracked a smile. I knew then that something was special about Jamesie. That smile just grew bigger and bigger over the months, and while I know you're not supposed to compare your kid to another, I did b/c I had a serious non smiley baby. His smile and his happy demeanor and his love for life is so apparent in the pics you post and I know that you know how amazing and special that is. Thank you again for sharing!
