James Camden Sikes Fund

Kara and I are establishing a fund in James' name to direct resources towards research of rhabdoid tumors. In order to give to this fund, please click here. We would like to thank the Communities Foundation of Texas for helping us facilitate this goal. Donations are tax deductible. For those of you who would prefer to write checks, checks can be sent to:

Communities Foundation of Texas
James Camden Sikes Fund
5500 Caruth Haven Lane
Dallas, TX 75225.

Make checks payable to Communities Foundation of Texas, with James Camden Sikes in the designation line or memo line. We would appreciate gifts to this fund in lieu of flowers. James never cared much for flowers, but I do think he'd like to do something about rhabdoid tumors.

Thank all of you.

  1. I think my husband and I are going to ask for donations to James' fund instead of birthday presents this year. We are not in need of anything and this would be the greatest birthday present to me. Please know that I am constantly praying for you and your family to find peace. I know it doesn't seem possible right now and I am so sorry for that.

    With all of my love!

  2. I came across your blog today and couldn't stop reading it. I spent my entire day reading every post about your 'Jamesie'. You and your husband are an incredible inspiration! Your faithfulness and unwavering faith in Jesus is a great testimony. Your story has touched my heart deeply and I will be praying for your family. I think God will have great things to tell James about his beautiful parents! I'm sorry for your loss.

  4. To Lori (above) how incredibly selfless and awesome of you and your husband to do that!! Kudos.

I am a single, unemployed mom but will be sending what I can to support this foundation and hope that the researchers will quickly find all they need so that other children won't be taken away from their parents.

God Bless you Matthew and Kara

My husband is a radiation oncologist, so he versed me in how serious these Rhabdoid tumors are.
I have been praying for you and your sweet son, I pray for God to care for you as you both start the next step in your journey of life.
May you feel God's love today during James' service and every day going forward.
